Amelia Halls, 27, is an artist and archaeologist from Cambridge, UK. She specialises in paintings with alcohol inks, prints of protest scenes, and single line drawings of fossils and archaeological artefacts.
Amelia was born in Colchester, Essex, and moved to Manchester to study a BA in Archaeology. After graduating, she moved to Cambridge to work as an archaeologist. She left her job to focus full time on her on art and working for various climate campaign groups.
Amelia’s work is influenced by her love of nature and the past. She focus on the fluidity and beauty of the natural world through the use of colour in alcohol inks, whilst juxtaposing those with the skeletons of fossilised animals.
Her protest illustrations capture the power and resilience of individuals in nonviolent resistance as they call for action on the climate emergency and an end to the genocide in Gaza.
